Lunchtime #3: Pick ‘n Pay
Today we had lunch in a more western style: we bought a pre-packaged sandwich at supermarket Pick ‘n Pay in the Peppergrove Mall. There is loads of choice in the supermarket and I bought the cheese/tomato-sandwich.
Its really just a sandwhich: bread, butter, a slice of tomato and a bit of cheese. It’s OK, but dry. It’s impossible to eat this sandwich without a drink at hand. No, this certainly is not haute cuisine.
At the Village Green and on the streets you can buy food just as quickly as in the supermarket. Most of the times it is fresher and you’ll eat it in an atmosphere richer environment. Tomorrow I won’t be in the supermarket for my lunch!
